This course really tested me. As a Compliance Officer I should know all the rules and regulations that the school must follow. I now know that there are things I did not know but am going to make it my duty to make sure everything is followed. I enjoyed this course very much. This training has really reminded me of all of the changes that have taken place in the education field since the safe harbor laws were updated to more specific standards in the education field. Many of these topics were part of communications over the past years since 2012, but it really reflects on some very specific changes regarding financial aid verifications and additional securities to protect the students among many other topics. I also was able to review some proper language to use with students when interacting with them. Students get upset at times because of the information requested of them when applying for financial aid, but these are Federal laws that must be followed and it is very important to communicate and educate the student. Great information that can be applied every day!

The information provided in this online course was precise and succinct. As an administrator that interacts with all facts of the institution, the information I reviewed and/or learned will definitely be shared and applied. Although, the information is required knowledge, refreshers are very useful and always informative.

One of the best things that compliance teaches us is the fact that we are accountable. This course certainly highlights the vast network that is like a running wheel- in constant motion. Every department- be it admissions, education, career services, even corporate- all have a logical cicuitry that is intricate. It's important to know the facts and logic behing these modals. This way proving that it is not just a business but one that has value and strength of character.

I enjoyed going through the material in this course on the second read. I appreciate the context and background given to the amended regulations. I find this brings understanding. I find this information useful and will put it to use in my job.

I liked the scenario based questions where we had to choose the appropriate response. Some of the rules and regulations are worded in a complicated way so it helped to see those in action in a scenario.

This module was very insightful and useful to understand regulations at the state level for educational institutions. Compliancy policies were analyzed and different scenarios were given to implement the knowledge acquired. This will be very helpful information for me as an educator.
